Easy Business Card Scheme: There is great news for those who want to start or expand their businesses under the Easy Business Finance Scheme launched by the Punjab government. In an important meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, it has been decided that the processing of all pending loan applications will be completed soon so that immediate financial assistance can be provided to the eligible individuals.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz issued clear instructions that the Easy Business Finance Scheme and the Easy Business Card Program will continue in all cases and no disruption in them will be acceptable. During the meeting, the Finance, Industries and other relevant departments gave a detailed briefing, in which a review of the loans given under the scheme and the applications received was presented.

Current Status of Loans – Figures at a Glance
Thousands of people have been provided financial assistance under this scheme of the Punjab government so far. The details are as follows:
- New businesses have received financial backing totaling Rs. 23.91 billion.
- 6753 women were given loans worth Rs 3.42 billion to run their businesses.
- Under the Chief Minister’s Scheme, loans totalling Rs. 18 billion have been allocated to 3,010 beneficiaries.
- A total of Rs 43 billion in loans were issued to 1 lakh 4 thousand people.

Approval and Processing of Applications
A large number of applications were received under this scheme, the details of which are as follows:
- 74579 applications were received for the Chief Minister’s Finance Scheme, out of which 2505 applications were approved.
- 12029 applications were received under Tier II, out of which 505 people were given loans.
- 13 lakh 80 thousand 838 applications were received for the Asan Karobar Card Scheme, out of which 1 lakh 4 thousand 133 applications were approved.
These figures show how seriously the government is taking steps to promote small businesses.
Loan Distribution for Different Sectors
Under the program, the provision of loans was distributed in a systematic manner keeping in mind the different business sectors:
- Loans worth Rs. 3.91 billion were provided to 13,012 people for transportation business.
- Loans worth Rs. 3.94 billion were provided to 175 people in the trading and distribution sector.
- Loans amounting to Rs. 26.13 billion were extended to 61,996 individuals engaged in service-based activities.
- Loans worth Rs. 10.75 billion were provided to 24,522 people in the trading sector.A total of Rs. 3.69 billion in financial support was granted to 10,699 recipients to promote agricultural small-scale enterprises.
Modern Facilities – Card Activation Through WhatsApp
It was also announced during the meeting that now the Asan Karobar Card can also be activated through WhatsApp, which is a revolutionary step. This modern facility will not only reduce the problems of the consumers but will also increase transparency and accessibility in the scheme.
Special Plan for Export and Manufacturing Sector
The Chief Minister of Punjab issued another important directive in the meeting that a specific plan for the loan scheme for the export and manufacturing sector should be prepared as soon as possible so that these important sectors can also be fully promoted.
